The Year of Self Love

Raelene Byrne - Medicine for Your Spirit - Sunday, January 01, 2012

 THE YEAR OF SELF LOVE

Sitting with a group of friends after a deliciously hectic time of raw cacao making and the conversation turned to the year that we have all journeyed. After each of us mentioned that we were ‘more than happy’ to say goodbye, ciao, sayonara, and good riddance to the year that was, we set about saying what we actually wanted for the year ahead.

I listened as each person said that what they needed and wanted to experience is more time for self, less worrying about what others think, less “doing” for others out of obligation, to engage in more activities that they enjoyed and wanted to embrace. What I heard as each person spoke, was the underlying theme……….More Self Love.

So I have declared 2012 as the year of self-love.

Complete devotion to the spirit that each of us is and allowing that to exist without guilt, recriminations, shame, discomfort and to totally celebrate the fact that self-love is a birth right for each of us. In fact, it is step towards liberation from all the external beliefs, strategies and conditions that have formed us in to the person that we see in the mirror each day.

What does that mean……how do we step towards that and live in that space.

I used to think love of self, meant being able to say No, without any guilt………Now I know it is so much more than that.

Complete self-love is the honouring of you, all of you .The total self-acceptance, self-appreciation and non-judgement of every part of your being. Holding the flaws, shadows and less than perfect traits in the same loving light as the perfections, virtues and light that you are. Understanding that we are all perfect with our imperfections. Loving those parts of us that we judge as “unlovable”, and then making those aspects an ally as we understand and work with them to create more wholeness and strength. Bringing all the parts of ourselves together to live the unique and the exquisiteness of our individual selves.

Everything that makes us whole, is the  miracle of life and your spirit. What we all have to remember is that we are LOVE, at the core of our spirit and soul. By actioning that in our daily lives, we are directing others on how to bring that into their lives and showing others how we wish to be treated.

Remember when a baby enters this world; our hearts are overflowing with love at the sight. Can you hold yourself in that same energy? Are you worthy to be gifting that feeling to yourself? Do you deserve that amount of love in your heart and world just for you?

It does not mean we are living in a world of arrogance, ego or narcissism: that is not self-love, it is a form of self-abuse, as we shut ourselves away from love and who we really are.

To be complete and to offer who we really are in any relationship, romantic, friend, work colleague, or relative, we have to know who we are. When we can be truthful about every part of who we really are, then we conduct life through the heart of self-love.

It has been said the more we love our self, the more we can love another. I challenge you to do this. See how people respond when you live from that heart space and birth right.

"You can search throughout the entire universe for someone who is more deserving of your love and affection than you are yourself, and that person is not to be found anywhere. You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe deserve your love and affection." Siddhartha Gautama Buddha

As we birth this New Year, the opportunity for brilliance, greatness and magnificence, that we all are, make a commitment to you and those in your life to move into the power of self-love. Treat yourself as you would a person you love deeply.

Be kind to yourself. Be Forgiving, Be understanding, Be Compassionate, Be Clear, Be Soft, Be Generous, Be Gracious, Be Truthful, BE YOU for there is no one anywhere on this earth that is like you..

This year we can create and amplify a wave of awareness and community through the act of self-love.

Be all that you are, love all that you are and show others who they are, through self-love.

Lucky Me !!!!

LUCKY ME?

When you do what you love and you love what you do, why is that some people say that you are ‘lucky’? It is not luck that creates the life you want for yourself, it is choices and bloody hard work.

What people see from the outside, is a person who radiates in the freedom of doing something that brings joy and fulfilment. However to get to that place takes an enormous amount of hard heart work, belief in self, constant self-assurance that you are in the right place, consistent self-examination, and a commitment to doing all that needs to be done, to ‘enjoy’ the work and  lifestyle  a person has chosen.

When the calling comes to follow the guidance of your heart and to move into a field that you love as your source of financial income and lifestyle, the steps that are taken are not light nor are they frivolous.

Each step towards that goal takes courage, bravery and a thick skin. There are so many ‘knockers’ out there. They often moan about their own bosses, whinge about their work  colleagues, have issues with the work they are paid to do…….yet they are being paid regularly, they know what they will be receiving each week, and most when they go home,  can switch off from the work day totally.

For those who are ‘lucky’, those who have created their own business from something they enjoy doing, the financial rewards often take a long time to come about. There is much uncertainty from week to week.

There is the emotional, physical, and mental strains that occur as people branch out into the field they want to share. Many hours of planning, going without, knock-backs, knock downs, and questions from loved ones as to why are you doing this. Why don’t you just get a real job?  Friends often feel forgotten as you spend much time putting things in place and your hours of availability change.

The calling of the soul, the whisper of the spirit to follow your destiny is not an easy road. It is one that is fraught with lessons, setbacks, however, these are faced,  met, learned from and worked through to bring something even stronger, more solid to life. That is what creates the ‘luck’ of doing what you love to do.

Those who persevere and bring their destiny to life, find that the rewards of fulfilment, and satisfaction far outweigh the fiscal rewards, which eventually when you keep working at it will improve.

A wise man once said…..”the harder I work, the luckier I get”…….

People who see those who are doing what they love, may think they are lucky, and if that is true, then why aren’t the onlookers lucky? Why aren’t they doing something to create that luck in their own lives……. Why aren’t they changing the things they find restrictive, annoying and boring with their lives.

Because on some level they know it is hard work. You have to face yourself, every strength, and every weakness, every aspect of what you can offer, give and where you have to hold back. When you do what you love and love what you do, the boundaries of working and living become blurred.

Putting yourself out there in the world is an exposure, you have nothing to hide behind, no-one to stand up for you and as for valuing yourself, well that is a deep heart journey of its own. It takes a LONG time and many lessons, to value yourself and the services you offer.

In my ‘lucky life’…I have had to dig deep into my soul, bring all the darkness, all the old beliefs, paradigms, strategies and sabotage into the bright light of day and deal with it. Sometimes it has been in view of the people I am working with. The luxury of escaping on ‘stress leave’, or disappearing for a sickie is unheard of.

Discipline becomes a hard taskmaster as it  mentors  you  to meet deadlines, stay healthy, keep up to date with all the current trends in your field,  work on your business promotion, marketing, bring inspirations to life, deal with the day to day accounting, appointments and still find time to have a life outside of all of this. Yes LUCKY aren’t we! I won’t get started on the sacrifices that are made continually.

I am not complaining, just pointing out that next time you see someone radiant with joy as they go about their work,   perhaps honour or congratulate them for having the courage to step into their passion, maybe thank them for sticking with their dream, or consider that they have worked bloody hard for that moment to be in complete alignment with their purpose.

It is definitely not luck, it is determination, willpower, discipline, sacrifice, focused intention, visions, dreams, goals and the push of your inner knowing to keep you true to who you are, what you can offer and how you take it to the world.

I bow to all who have taken the steps to do what they love and love what they do………We give everything from our hearts

The New Normal

Raelene Byrne - Medicine for Your Spirit - Monday, August 15, 2011

   NEW “NORMAL”

As the song says, “the times, they are a changing” and so are we. Humanity is evolving and we are in the midst of it, watching, and most importantly participating.

We cannot wait on the sidelines nor sit on the fence for the changes to happen. Every thought, action, intention and wish is creating the very world we are preparing for ourselves. Every living creature is shifting and readying for the beginning of a brand new cycle. It is happening right now.

So in the last few years the majority of the population on this ancient planet have been touched and affected in some way. Whether through environmental issues, personal, career, or health, we are all looking for ways to move through all the “wobbles” while wondering why and what next.

In my personal life, I have been under intense inner changes triggered by the retreat that I facilitated in Sedona with My business colleague Jeremy Donovan. Due to the amount of reflection and awareness that I have been experiencing since my return, I woke one morning saying out loud…. “ I wish I could just feel like my normal self”……hmmm and the answer that whispered back through my being, from my spirit with such clarity was…. ‘This is your new normal”

So what does that mean, what is normal anymore…how can we define that?

What I do know is that we are definitely not the same as we were 12 months ago, 5 years ago even 10 years ago.

In my understanding we are in the process of evolution where such deep structural, DNA and belief changes are moving through us, as well as in the world we inhabit.

Our old ways of life, are disintegrating all around, and how we find our way to peace, to our new reality will be our new “normal”.

It is the way we can move forward with a different sense of self. We need to be comfortable with that new part of us that is being birthed. We can call it a new vibration, a new frequency, an elevated awareness, but the bottom line is that we are energetically and physically changing, and rapidly.

The physicality of these changes have been bombarding many of us with dizzy spells, sleeplessness, sinus issues, blurred vision, burning/watery eyes, ear aches, headaches and many other symptoms. Not to mention the light that many people are seeing when their eyes are closed, during sleep, like a torch shining into your face.

So we are aware that something is happening when we physically experience it, can you imagine what is happening at the deeper levels and in our energy systems.

If you think back to how you were 5 years ago, what was important to you then, how you were living and where you were heading, odds are that you are in a place that is quite different now to then. This is evolution; this is growth and our personal expansion.

So normal is a funny word, what is normal? Generally we have a sense of who we are, some days are great, some are not so great but underneath it all is this witness part of ourselves that acknowledges and allows us to make the adjustments so we can function. So when the witness part of us, or our spirit, shifts in energy and vibration, that means what we know as ‘normality’ has to shift as well.

We are aware that we feel different to how we used to feel, and we are in that state all the time. Ever noticed how when you go through changes, that you become aware of something not affecting you the way it once did, or perhaps your response to something is entirely different and you are caught off guard, but delighted with it. That is evolution.

Bruce Lipton explains in his book, ‘The Biology of Belief “ that when you change your beliefs, you actually can change your DNA. As we are changing many of the things in our lives, from ancestral beliefs, to societal dogma, we are moving into a new kind of normal that humanity has not experienced in written history. I, for one, am excited to be transforming through these times.

Life is forcing us to simplify, declutter, reconnect to the natural world, change our diets and to also change many of our lifestyles. Our relationships are changing as we step more into truth and are honest with how we want to live and those we want on the journey with us. The beliefs that have ruled all our behaviours and those of our ancestors are being released, and new ones that we resonate with are being created and brought to life. We  no longer need to hold onto the past, to value who we are now. We are more in the moment, and the skills and knowledge that we can utilise now, are creating huge leaps forward in science, spirituality, and health which is uniting the world.

The loud calls, the protests from countries that have been dominated by the old ways, to move into these times of change are signals that the world of last century is dissolving. Which means many parts of us have to as well.

As the structure of the world is crumbling, we are witnessing the old ways around the economy, education, health, business falling into a heap just like the demolition of an old building. We must create the new way for all of us to exist on this planet. I can absolutely guarantee that if we suffer our own extinction, this amazing planet will still go on. What we MUST acknowledge, is that the earth is not doing anything to us, we are doing it ourselves.

Therefore we create the ‘new normal’. Feeling comfortable in that, is what we have to achieve. So don’t be surprised if you feel the need to be at home more, quieter, not of the world, not expressing your energy as you once did, feeling more content to sit in a place of beauty and just be. Don’t be challenged if you realise that you can’t spend as much time with people that you used to. Perhaps that time is done. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself wanting to meditate, do yoga, learn more about the esoteric teachings of the masters. Don’t be surprised if you feel the urgency to plant a vegie patch, and some fruit trees, or move to a bit of land, or to downsize the lifestyle you have been used to. Don’t be disheartened if your job, career, or way of  financially supporting your life is not appealing anymore.

These are all opportunities and open doorways for you to explore a new way of you expressing your life as a mindful co-creator of the future.

Celebrate the new days, your creativity, your place in the architecture of the future as we evolve.……….This is the NEW NORMAL……

Question to ask yourself

Raelene Byrne - Medicine for Your Spirit - Wednesday, August 03, 2011

When you see the beauty of a person with their hands in prayer position and head bowed slightly towards their chest, do you fully understand what is happening in that moment?

Yes it is symbolic of the act of prayer, the moment where we are speaking to a higher power, asking for help, offering thanks, sometimes we are bargaining to change something in life if we give something else away. We could be offering blessings and intentions for people suffering. No matter what we do in that time of prayer, it is a sacred and intense act of connection to something greater.

When we bow our heads towards our chest, we are bowing to our heart. We are acknowledging and honouring the god within, the truth of who we are, that part of us that carries all the wisdom we need for our entire life. We can speak to our heart and hear the answers in a flash of inspiration.

Our hands joined, symbolises the joining of all that we are to a place of oneness, where  everything flows into each other. The masculine, the feminine, the giving , the receiving, the actions and the emotions as represented by right and left hand sides of our bodies. That gesture of hands at the heart to me, represents that flame of divinity. So as we bow to our heart, we are ‘seeing’ that connection of all that we are, as one united being, totally supported.

We bow to the teacher within and ask, what is my truth right now? We listen for the answers, and then when that flash of inspiration appears, we acknowledge it, and sometimes put things into action. Living in our truth is absolutely paramount in these times of evolution.  It allows us to be full of integrity all the time. By bowing to the teacher within, we are always the student, listening for the wise answers that live in our heart.

So what do you think you would hear if you bowed your head to your heart, and asked……

What am I lying to myself about?”

This is completely different.  As you sit listening to your heart answer this, you will be given some very raw and unexpected answers. It takes incredible courage to ask the question, but even more to hear the answers.

It is so important to grasp the answers as they come in that instant, as the mind will kick in and begin its role of justifying all that it hears. No matter what your heart delivers as a revelation, your mind will quickly try to avoid, evade, justify and twist to suit what your life is about right now.

Our minds are very complex and very powerful. The mind can make us believe black is white, if it has to!

So” what am I lying to myself about?” takes a different road. It is a deeper question that has to take you to parts of yourself that you may never venture. We are all very good at lying to ourselves, and avoiding aspects of ourselves. Seeking truth about ourselves is a beautiful journey and extremely empowering, however can you imagine how profound the experience of discovering what lies you tell yourself can be. There is more freedom, as then you can really live a truthful life on every level.

Perhaps we hear that it is our health, it could be our belief around a relationship, could be that you really aren’t happy with your life, and have become very good at lying to yourself about. There are people who will tell themselves that they  are happy with where they are in life, yet, that is a lie, they see themselves being and doing so much more, yet are too ruled by fear to move towards their visions.……When we have the courage to go there, ask the question, then, we can only act on it and be more whole, complete and healed.

Clarifying this part of our life is not about going to the ‘dark side’ as some would initially presume, it is about bringing light to the parts that need to be healed, to be resolved and to find the truth within

Next time you see a person with their head bowed to their chest, speaking with their heart, honour that moment of greatness, as they are humbly readying themselves  for a deep connection to their teacher, to their absolute truth, to the light of divinity that we all carry and need to shine .

What are you lying to yourself about, and how can that set you free?

SELF ASSESSMENT AND SELF ACCEPTANCE

Raelene Byrne - Medicine for Your Spirit - Sunday, July 17, 2011

SELF ASSESMENT AND SELF ACCEPTANCE

At what stage do we take a rest from all the self-assessment, self-judgment and self-criticism and dive deeply into self-acceptance and self-appreciation.

Recently, I was doing some work with a client and saw how stuck this person was in the energy of self-assessment, and self-judgment. Any attempts at self-acceptance, or self-appreciation, were very quickly debunked and denied.

The continual self-analysis was not leaving any space for the softness of self acceptance to be present. Even in a moment of happiness, the question arose…… “Should I be this happy right now?” This scenario was running through the belief system of this person as a constant companion, continually searching for the ‘wrongs’ within.

We are assessed on all levels through our lives, we are judged at every stage of development whether by others or our selves, we place so much emphasis on listening to other people tell us how “wrong” we are, or what we need to do to be better, or how others think we need to change to fit in with their beliefs and ways of life.

Parents, through their care of us , are our first critics, then we have school systems following up with their ‘agenda’s on how we should be performing to be ‘normal or average, followed up by employers, lovers, partners and then, our own children.

With each comment, we go into a level of self assessment, and spend so much energy trying to fit into another’s ‘ideal’ of how we ‘should’ be in this world.

Our lives are filled with all these moments and we seek validation continually so our sense of self, will feel accepted…….. And this is by the world outside our own hearts.

We will never achieve the state of perfection that we seem to strive for, or what the world around us seems to want us to strive for. What we have to really understand is that we are perfect as we are in this moment of time. That everything in our life is perfect in this moment of time. No matter how challenging it may appear to be, it is divinely perfect. The learning’s, the shifts, the awareness’s, the insights, the truths that we can find, and bring into our life, are there, perfect with all their imperfections.

When we truly embrace self acceptance, the depth of loving who we are in any moment of time, alters everything about the way we feel towards ourselves and eventually others.

Remember the times in life where you are filled with joy, bliss, love, contentment, connection and how that makes you feel. There is no ‘assessment’ around those feelings, just acceptance, yet when we experience doubt, sadness, guilt, blame, fear, we immediately feel we have to assess how, what, where ,when and why?

We readily accept the feeling and experiences of euphoria, yet we get stuck in trying to understand why we feel the heavier or denser aspects of our selves. We do need to observe these aspects of ourselves and sometimes we can just allow them to be, to flow through without having to attach so much mental activity to each feeling.

Sometimes we need to look deeper so we can alter things, however are we  really  altering or is it a deeper sense of accepting that these feelings are parts of us that we need to love and embrace, allowing them to not run our life, but to bring the shades of colour to everything we are.

When we observe the comedians of the world, they appear to be funny, quick witted, and joyful, however many live their personal life on the edge of depression. They understand and allow that part of them, to strengthen their work.

We can do that. When we acknowledge our foibles, we can then use them to allow us to be stronger, more complete. We enter self acceptance, and that allows us to shine. Can we love the parts of ourselves that are not so likeable, as much as we love the parts of us that we show to the world every day?

Self assessment is a wonderful tool and exercise to go deep, but don’t allow it to run or rule your life. Allow it to be the gateway into the beauty of self-acceptance and self-appreciation in all levels in life.

Engaging in this allows us to be more accepting of what ever is happening in the world, with society, with our loved ones. We begin to feel more connected to life and that initiates another level of kindness towards our selves and others.

This sense of true self-acceptance comes from a space of real love. Our spirit, our divinity, the universal intelligence, the ‘God/Goddess”, loves us in every moment, no matter what. If we are a spark of that greatness, then we must have that capacity to enter into self-acceptance of ourselves.

Imagine how life would be to grow up knowing how to totally accept yourself. Your flaws, weaknesses, funny ways, and all the amazing things as well. To focus on the qualities that bring you peace, that keep you strong in yourself, to know that if another doesn’t ‘get’ you, it doesn’t matter, because you get you.

My client thought that the way to self-acceptance was through consistent self-assessment. We absolutely need to do this, however, you also have to enjoy and sit in the beauty of self-acceptance to see how far all your inner work has brought you.

By understanding and accepting our weaknesses, our flaws, the parts of us that perhaps get in the way of our deep brilliant light, we bring all that we are into this world. We are able to offer ourselves as complete, unique, exquisite beings  that have a beautiful place and purpose to live out. All we simply have to do… is be all that we are”.

Pseudo Spirituality and becoming real

Raelene Byrne - Medicine for Your Spirit - Thursday, July 07, 2011

There is absolutely no escape from the drive of marketing, advertising  and consumerism in our lives today. We have been bombarded over the years with advertising that has filled magazines, made our weekend papers a form of weightlifting and created a generation that cannot sit still for an entire movie.

What I am seeing more and more   is ‘pseudo spirituality’ , and with this comes marketing and retailers that are catering for the world of the “unseen”, the realms of woo-woo, and the ooky-spooky brigade.

“New Age” retail outlets and services are appearing at an incredible rate. All offering things that will ‘fix’ our lives. All with promises of ancient wisdoms, magical energies, secrets being unleashed, and the elixirs that will cure many symptoms of discomfort.  And good for them.  They are entrepreneurs .Their intentions are worthy, but are their hearts truly aligning with what they offer and advertise.

However as person who has  been walking the path of spirituality for quite some time, and believe me it is not easy, all of this commercial activity has created a very healthy dose of scepticism in me.

Spirituality is not a product, nor can it be seen as one. It the the very essence and authenticity of a person. It is all around us; it is the pulse of life.

To access this part of us, to bring it to life, requires much more than a handful of crystals, a few OM’s and a yoga mat.

The awareness of living a life of spirit, or to allow your sprit to flow in your life, requires constant mindfulness. We have to look within, we must take time to contemplate and ask the questions, ‘Who am I ?, Why am I here?, How can I be better?, How can I be of service?  What can I contribute?  among  other questions. We need to look at the healing that we must engage in, the releasing of what no longer works for or serves us, in the truth of our journey. We have to be accountable and responsible for all actions, thoughts and intentions

The tools, the classes, the paraphernalia are all wonderful to use. They assist us to create ambience, they give us something to focus on, they remind us to take time to reflect, but ultimately, WE have to do the work. It is our responsibility. Some

feathers, a smudge stick, a Tibetan bowl and some books on self-awareness, can be beautiful to work with, but if you do not use them, if you do not allow these tools to help you come back into who you are as a reminder or a tool of guidance, then they just become things, like all the other things we have in our homes. These items are only of value if you are working on you.

I am fortunate to have many crystals, some singing bowls, oracle cards, essences and other things I love to work with, however they are not giving me the answers. They are giving me the opportunity to create a space for me to sit in silence, to contemplate in a surrendered stillness, in order to connect with my spirit, so I can seek my own answers. So I can ask the questions and journey within to hear my own inner wisdom, my spirit whispering to me

We have to show up for our own life and we have the responsibility to keep growing, expanding, and bringing the essence of who we truly are into this life.

There are no ‘New Age” miracle cures that will allow you to awaken after one night, to be an enlightened spiritual being. You have to constantly and consistently work on yourself. We keep discovering new aspects to ourselves, as we journey deeper into our truth.

What has concerned me, especially in these times of tragic earth changes, are the sales that are pitched at  people who are in very desperate times in their own lives. These people are truly seeking some guidance, some hope, some faith as they piece their lives back together. I am sorry to say that a bag of crystals will not give you your life back, however they can help you work towards deciding what your priorities are and then helping you to focus on a plan of action to move towards that. As long as you take the time to sit with these tools as a guide, and see them as a level of energetic support , then the answers come from you.

Much of the commercialism that has been running our lives is based on ‘instant gratification”, and this has now leaked into the world of Spirituality.

The marketing of new age goods and the ‘instant gratification” response that plagues our lives right now has to be questioned, constantly. When I am told anything, one of my first responses now is ….. “Who said”? This dose of scepticism is not about being rude, or doubting. It is purely a question asking where  the information has come from.  You will ‘Feel” if the response resonates  with truth or not.

Many of us now in this plague also suffer from dis-ease called “miss-out-it is”. We must have everything that shines and sparkles with promises of accessing spirituality, only to get it home and in a week or two, it is forgotten, as were the good intentions of honouring ourselves a bit more, and using the items we HAD to possess, for our highest good.

Don’t get me wrong or misinterpret my words, I LOVE all the bells and whistles that are on offer, and yes my house at one time was a ‘temple”. My intent with this is to remind you, that true , authentic spirituality, is really the inner work not the outward trappings.

So yes have all your crystals, but use them to focus on the issues that they energetically support as you work on yourself. Yes have your oracle cards, but use them to give you a direction or some clarity to work with. Yes take your essences, but exercise mindfulness and sit with the reasons of why you are taking them. Yes, read all the self-help books as they will help you to remember aspects of yourself and you can discern which things you can utilise. Yes do courses, learn, expereince and review, but remember that these things will not deliver you into a state of instant spirituality.

Let us enjoy all the tools that we can use on our spiritual journey, however the most important tool and the only one that has no cost, is your own heart and the truth of who you are that resides  there. Investigate that, as it is your spirit. This is when we walk the talk, instead of talking the talk.

Bring that to life and be the life you were born to live, limitless, free and joyful.

Bring that to life and be the life you were born to live,..... limitless, free and joyful.

What is Spirituality really?

Raelene Byrne - Medicine for Your Spirit - Wednesday, June 29, 2011

Recently, with all the changes happening, I have been asked on many occasions what this  “Spirituality” is all  about. Some people are nervous and challenged by what they think it is, some even wondering if it is a “cultish” experience.

This is a question that I am being asked more and more and am also being asked to describe how it feels. Many people are beginning to ‘wake up’, to realise there is much more to this life we are experiencing, however there is uncertainty about the capacity they have to adopt these philosophies. Some people feel the ‘spiritual path’ is too complex, or they feel that in themselves they have too many issues and complications to engage in that way of life. They are worried about all the misconceptions of what spirituality really is.

I can say that spirituality is NOT about religion, dogma, rigid rules, sacrifice, punishment, flowing robes, dreadlocks, living in tepees, or meditation for hours every day.

It is however something that we all have inside us, around us, moving through our world in every moment, every heartbeat and every breath.

It is that yearning to know you on a deeper level

It is the desire to be a better person

It is the understanding that we have our own personal truth and how we can live it daily

It is a moment where we question a belief that we have been indoctrinated with and finally realise it doesn’t serve us, and we can release it.

It is the connection to nature, the planet, and the star filled skies

It is the feeling you have when a child really hugs you around the neck, with both arms and they bury their head in your shoulder

It is the birdsong first thing in the morning and as you hear it, really hear it, the sound makes you feel glad to be alive

It is the time you walk in the rain and are grateful for all it brings to the earth and not about the inconvenience of getting wet

It is the moment in a movie where you feel the emotions and tears slip from your eyes

It is the heart song when a new baby sees you and smiles at you

It is the recognition that you are more than you thought

It is the courage you stand in, to discover who you are and to align with that deeper part of you

It is the friend who listens without judgement, no matter how crazy you sound

It is the smile that is exchanged between complete strangers, in a moment of connection

It is the time you are surrounded in the beauty of nature and you feel part of it

It is the music that takes you into a place in your memory where you are lost in the vibration and everything is moving in time to the rhythm

It is that time you acknowledge a child and praise them, only to be met with total joy

It is the feeling of seeing how incredible the ocean is in its cycles, the life it supports,  the tides and the flow of its intelligence

It is the movement of the wind in the trees

It is the messages in the clouds that we share as we lie on the grass and look towards the heavens

It is the community holding space and energy for a greater cause

It is the teacher, who shows up to class, tired, overworked, not feeling well, but committed to the little ones in their care

It is the parent’s dealing with the ‘end of the day craziness’, where chaos is transformed into laughter and all things change

It is that time when the house sleeps, the sound of silent peace

It is in the stepping up to be truthful for yourself, or for another

It is the washing of the dishes where you share your day with another and debrief

It is the recognition of trees and how they hold each other underneath the earth with their roots entwined, to all stand tall and strong against all the elements of nature

It is the gift of a flower that a child brings to you, not seeing the ‘weed’ just the beauty of creation and wanting you to receive it

It is the giving of yourself when you see another in need

It is in the simplicity of the breath

It is in the flames of a campfire, where people are watching the flames and cleansing their souls

It is the unknown gift that arrives on your doorstep

It is the plate of food that is gifted when you are unwell

It is the cup of tea that your partner brings to you, just because they thought you needed one

It is the neighbour that mows your lawn, or takes your bin out

It is the moment of inspiration that seemingly comes out of the blue

It is the waking from a dream and the message stays with you all day

It is the sign on the roadside that you read and it answers your dilemma, or offers inspiration

It is the peace that you have when you daydream

It is the warmth of the sun on your face

It is the hot bath that you nurture yourself in at days end

It is the moment where you are feeling totally connected to all, that you feel the size of the universe

It is the feeling after a good cry

It is the sense of forgiveness when you take ownership of something

It is the story that a complete stranger shares with you

It is the pets we have in our lives that offer their love without question and know us

It is every kind act,

It is every expression of community, connection, camaraderie

It is words said with beautiful intentions

It is support, friendship,

It is everywhere, It is all around, it is you, it is life

So many people are fearful that their lives have to change if they choose to be more ‘spiritual’.

We already are. Spirituality is the awareness that we are all here for our own purpose, we are all here as a connected family, we are all here to do what we need to, we are all here to know who we truly are and what we have to offer

There is no line to cross, no doctrine to learn, no rules to follow, no places of worship, no right or wrong.  There is only our own inner journey, We question the beliefs that we have been taught, we look at the life we have lived and where we can make different choices, we start to tune in more to the whispers of what we know internally, we begin to honour the many aspects of who we are, we choose to nurture ourselves and take better care of our physicality.

Spirituality is our heart’s wisdom, our hearts knowing, our hearts story, our hearts truth. To stand in that truth is to be spiritual. It makes us more complete. It serves us in ways of awareness, kindness, makes us accountable to the way we choose to live. It serves us to be better, to work towards being all that we are . It makes us understand our place in this fabulous story of  the evolution of humanity

The only thing that you can really fear by choosing to open up to the spiritual you, the truth of your heart and soul, is that you will see how limited you have been up until now. You will see the greatness and magnificence of who you truly are. To stand in that can be overwhelming and confronting, but we need to see that, and bring it into this world. It is the blessing we have to share with our other human family on this spiritual quest.

We have to own that we completely unlimited and infinitely amazing

Whether you are digging ditches, or running international corporations, you are a spirit that is bursting to be acknowledged. There is no fear in being everything that you are, there is only freedom.

Namaste

my responsibility in this time of change

Raelene Byrne - Medicine for Your Spirit - Monday, March 14, 2011

It takes  a hell of a lot to get me cranky but this morning, not only did I choose to be cranky, I got totally annoyed to the point of being pinged off…

I walk every morning, well most mornings, along the river or beach and every time, I choose, and I do choose to, pick up any rubbish that I see lying around. I have taken a level of self-responsibility and instead of complaining and whinging about the state of the world, I am actively engaging in doing what I can in my little part of it. This morning, on my walk a car whizzed past me and tossed an empty can and an empty packet of chips out the window……..I was totally gobsmacked, in the midst of the disasters that the earth is gifting us with, to have people so ignorant that they are still expecting  ‘someone’ else to pick up after them. Or perhaps they really don’t care

When any one of us has given all that we can and in return have been ignored, devalued, abused, defiled, and disregarded, we have every right to feel that “enough is enough”. The earth mother is telling us that right now.

I don’t believe she is enraged, or  angry, as they are human emotions, However I do believe that she is shaking us to say WAKE UP….She has given us many gentle taps, reminders and wisdoms passed through the ages, and now, the time to stand up for herself and for us to stand up for her is here. That is all she has asked of us, to respect, stand up for her and to honour all that she has provided for us.

The snooze button on the alarm clock can’t be activated anymore; the alarm bells are ringing loudly. It is up to us now to wake the rest of humanity up.

Our society and world at large HAS TO WAKE UP NOW……..we have been dumbed down over the years through the media and the way they interpret the news, the ‘real life’ shows, the barrage of images of 'perfect" human bodies, the papers that repost only what they think we should know, often keeping facts hidden, often doing deals to sell stories, keeping truth out of the big picture, belittling those who dare to speak it.

Over time the medical and pharmaceutical world have created the belief that we cannot heal ourselves unless we are pumped full of chemicals in the form of drugs. The anti-depressants are dumbing and numbing us to a state of not caring.

Yes the medical world is fabulous at diagnosing illness and dis-ease, however, the human body and the human mind is extraordinary in what it can achieve when given the power to. We have been disempowered with our health, Yes we live longer, but at what cost. The pharmaceutical  companies are raking in billions with the amount of drugs that keep people alive and sick, not to mention the amounts of surgeries done on people in their later years that really are unnecessary…and what are all these chemicals doing to the earth let alone our humanity.

The antiquated education system has been boxing children into ways of being, so their creativity is squashed, and the subjects they are told they have to learn, often really don’t sustain us in life as it is evolving now.

The banking system is not about the helping people to save for their dreams or create the life they envisage; it is all about return of investments for their stockholders and creating more wealth for the institutions

The political system……what a joke, we all know the politicians use lies and bent truths to achieve their seats, and to stay in power. Once they hold office, they happily and with complete disregard for the people who have trusted and voted for them, do what they want.

Then we look at how we have treated the planet, the greed that has been obvious, the drilling, the taking of minerals and ore beyond what is acceptable or needed, the stockpiling of oil, the wars created to OWN the resources, or to have the rights to own them.  All the nuclear testing done off French Polynesian islands and other places that went deep into the earth, the pollution we have injected into the atmosphere, the chemicals that we spray over crops and food that we eat, the genetic engineering that has been happening all over the planet to create grains that grow faster, produce more yield, are more resistant to pests, yet the allergy rates to theses ‘common’ staples around the world have reached epidemic proportions.

Our rates for infertility are through the roof, once again creating a money making industry for the medical world, and the clinics supporting these 'breakthroughs in fertility", are making it all seem normal.

The completely obscene way of slaughtering  whales, for scientific research, the harvesting of dolphins, the clubbing of baby seals purely for the purity of their fur, the animals used in laboratories for product testing. We look at the number of animal species that have left our planet, now totally extinct, the illegal hunting of wildlife around the world described as sport, the disgusting way we dump household pets that once loved us because they have become too hard, too expensive or too problematic.

As a mother, if I saw a child of mine doing all of this, it would break me…….the earth is our mother, she has gifted us with a paradise to live in, and  through greed, ego, violence, lack of self-control and self discipline by us in general,  she has been brought to her knees.

Any parent would want to shake their child to wake them up…….Any parent who loved their child unconditionally would, by this stage exercise tough love……..

What more can she, our earth, our home do?…..As a mother I want to see my kids excel, I want to see them love what they have, appreciate what has been put in place, to share, to look after another, to respect the life that pulses on their planet.. whether it walks on 2 legs, 4 legs, swims, flies, crawls or grows in the earth, we teach them not to be greedy, that there is always enough, we just have to take a small portion and leave the rest for others who come after us.

When we see our children fighting, we try to teach them about getting along with each other, to see the others point of view…………so why do we have WARS

When we see our children being bullies or picking on others we try to explain that we need to be kind, we need to embrace others, no matter how different they appear………..so why do we have racial bias, bigotry and hatred

We teach our children to share,..... so why do we have thieving, greed and possessiveness, control, and crime

We love our children and offer that in many ways… so how do they become full of hatred,

We teach our children about respect… so why do we have violence, pollution, gaols bursting at the seams

Maybe I live in a Pollyanna world……….I choose to think good of all situations, I want to see others excel and shine, I want to share from my heart, I want to live in harmony with my neighbours, humanity and the earth.

I choose to hold my light and visions of a world that is possible, a world that we are being given the chance to create NOW. I am choosing to see the positivity and align with the earth and the cycle she is going through. I choose compassion for those who are suffering and on some level, even if we haven’t fully understood it, we are feeling the pain and frustration of this world. I choose to respect the land I walk on every day, the ancestors gone before me and the generations to come.

Change is here, we are in it right now, and the earth is not finished, there is more to come. All we can do is stay focused on what we can do and choose to do in our part of this world, how we can offer hope, healing, light and prayers to the whole planet, all the inhabitants, and all of life. We have to find that point of balance in ourselves and keep that space. We need to allow others to be in their own journey and accept that only we can change what is happeningand how we feel and respond in ourselves.

We must stay positive, find the highest thought, the most loving feeling , the more compassionate way to understand the changes in any given moment. We have to be absolutely true to our hearts wisdom and truth and bring that into our world. If each of us choose to do those few things for ourselves, the world will change all around us. The ancients and prophets spoke of this, the indigenous cultures speak of this, and now we cannot deny what we have been guided to embrace, we just have to begin it, right now.

How we think today, is creating the world we live in tomorrow. The prophecies of the ancients are staring us in the face, we have to choose how we want to move through all of this. To be conscious of every thought, every feeling, to keep choosing something more positive no matter how dark things seem to be is all we can do. We are the ones we have been waiting for, we are the ones to lead this world into a new way of being, we just have to get everyone to awaken in these times and it starts with each of us, NOW.

earth changes, our changes

Raelene Byrne - Medicine for Your Spirit - Tuesday, February 01, 2011

Recently I have been receiving a number of texts, e-mails and phone calls from friends who are very concerned about what is happening in this land of ours. So I would like to take this moment to go out a limb and share with you, my thoughts on what I feel is happening, not just here in Australia, but globally. And I say from the start, I do view the world differently, I am not trying to offend anyone, or minimalize the tragic things that are happening, and please remember that I am only expressing my opinion.

The questions are similar, is it going to get worse?? What is going on and what can we do, are we safe….

Yes there will probably be more flooding, there will probably be landslides, there will probably be more and more devastation across Australia and around the world. We are in the shift. The dimensions are being clearly defined. Some people have moved into 4th dimension, others in resistance are still in 3rd dimension,
.
The changes the earth and the inhabitants are experiencing about trying to bring into alignment all of life on the planet. Allowing many others to wake up and start looking at the truth of life. Not just their personal truth but a universal truth.
Those who have stepped into the 4th dimension are viewing this whole thing from a place of understanding, non-judgement, no fear, but total compassion and empathy for all of life.

Don't let the old ways of fear restrict you, or create the illusion of despair. The planet is shifting; we have been told this would happen; many indigenous cultures around the world have prophesised these times. We have a responsibility to now connect more to each other, the planet, and our hearts.

If you had a globe of the earth and could spin it, anywhere your finger touched, you would see there is something happening in that country or part of the world. Natural disasters, wars, civil unrest, political uprisings, deaths, and more, the old ways of being, the old structures, the old paradigms of life are all being challenged, to make way for the new.

As the earth is challenged, clearing, cleaning, shifting and re-aligning. So too, are all the living beings that exist on her. Many are all asking the questions, we are seeing what is no longer working or resonating in our lives, we are trying to simplify aspects of our lives, we are starting to view things through the eyes of our hearts, we are wondering why so much 'apparent' chaos is affecting our personal lives and more

We have taken so much from the earth over the years, she has given us a little taste of what it is like to have things of value stripped from us without any warning. She is reminding us that the material attachments in life are NOT who we are, they are things we can use to enjoy life, but they do not define us. So many people have confused the material gains, the amassing of 'things', with their status, power, and who they think they are in this world.

When I saw all the boats, moorings, cars etc. been swept away in the rivers, and the inland Tsunami, all I could see was Mother earth allowing us to feel her. It was tragic to watch, devastating to those who experienced the mightiness of the mother and still shocking as we witness and work towards a recovery.

We have drilled holes into her, taken minerals, coal, oil and much more from her...........understandably, we need the resources for some of life, however the motivations behind many of the companies now, are more about greed, and power. Many of the companies have been stockpiling theses precious resources as a way of creating power and control. Nothing is being given back to the earth.

We are being given strong reminders and wake up calls from the earth and all the changes that she is throwing at us.

When all is taken from us, we still have ourselves, we still have to live with ourselves, we still have our truth, breath and heart. We still have to show up for ourselves. This is something that I keep seeing and hearing…….

No matter what is happening, or going to happen, we have no control. All we can do is awaken to a deeper level of consciousness and stop feeding the fear. We can start looking towards creating a world we want to live in.

We can be mindful of our thoughts. Are you feeding the fear and the illusion it creates in life, or are you feeding a higher awareness, one where we can hold an intention for how the world can be, we can offer our thoughts and prayers in a unified consciousness that will create change. Science is proving over and over now, that when we hold intentions and prayer, the energy is tangibly different, it acts and reacts in ways that can be measured and outcomes are altered to those of the set intentions.

Get yourself into a place of acceptance and do as much as you can to get ready for whatever will be. We have all chosen to be here now, for this shift in evolution, we already know on a higher level what the outcome is. Now is the time to find peace in all that you are and do.

Be supportive of others, but don't engage in the fear of what MAY be..............There are no certainties in life and this has been a huge lesson for many, as we are continually being reminded right now.

All these global earth changes are paving the way for the community spirit to be activated, by opening people’s hearts, it has made people look out for one another and as the next few months pass, we will witness  people coming to terms with the understanding that all the trappings we have been aspiring to, are merely that.............. trappings………. that have kept many of us separate, isolated, focusing on amassing more of the things in life that we think make us who we are,  fearful of losing everything, fearful and suspicious of others and it has also feeds the spirit of competition amongst many with the getting bigger and better objects, keeping up with the ‘joneses’  attitudes,

So all I can say is identify what the fear is that you have, realise it is controlling you and work on letting that go. As Doreen Virtue teaches and I love this........ FEAR is an acronym for...... false evidence appearing real........The power of our thoughts can change anything.
What we think is what we create, what we feel is what we create, and it all feeds energetically the outcome..........look at the bigger picture.

Change is happening in every heartbeat, are we ready to go with the flow, are we ready to accept that we have to show up for ourselves every day, are we ready to extend our hearts, hands and spirits, are we ready to move into this next new world with openness, true community connections, a simplicity and a deeper respect for our earth and our responsibility to work with her, are we ready to honour the teachings of the ancients and treat all of life with respect and reverence.

We are being ‘pushed’ into this next dimension. Many have been working for years to hold the space, the light, the open heart to assist others at these times of change. I see the GIFT from the earth and cosmos right now as our environment is shaking and quaking ………it is allowing many who perhaps wouldn’t ‘consciously’ make the shift, to move into this next level of vibration, simply by extending their hearts to others as community spirited work. Once people ‘feel’ that heart opening of helping others in desperate times, there is an automatic shift, they cannot claim ignorance, they will always be affected and it allows for the opening of that energy to anchor more fully. They then begin to see things differently and want to connect more, respect the earth more, and their own personal lives get affected as well.

The earths vibrations is lifting, our personal vibrations or frequencies are being raised and  rapidly. There is no stopping it now and I personally feel excited about all that is happening.
What we can do is what I wrote in an earlier blog........BREATHE.......each breath is a lifetime,....mind your FOOTSTEPS..keep putting one foot in front of the other, as each footstep is a leap of faith right now, and TRUST, the TRUTH that your heart and inner world are gifting you with.
And remember we are all in this together, we are a family, we are connected to the earth, we are pulsing with the earth, and all we need to do is hold our hearts and hands together as we move through these times. We hold the earth in our collective and connected hands..
